"The miscarriage happened because I did something wrong or didn't have enough faith."
How it sounds in your head: I keep replaying everything—was it something I did? Did I not pray enough? Maybe if I'd been a better spiritual leader this wouldn't have happened. I feel like I failed to protect my wife and our baby.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Religion teaching that tragedy is punishment or lack of faith—makes God the author of death instead of enemy.
The pain needs an explanation, and self-blame feels like control. Religious voices say faith should prevent loss, making grief feel like failure.
Lost all ten children in one day through enemy attack, not personal sin. God restored double everything Job lost—gave him ten more children and twice the wealth INSTANTLY when he prayed for his friends.
I REFUSE the lie that miscarriage was my fault or punishment. IT IS WRITTEN that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy—but Jesus came to give ABUNDANT LIFE. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The enemy STOLE what belonged to us, but he is a defeated foe. God's heart is TOWARD us, not against us. The BARAK blessing includes fruitfulness of body, and no attack of the enemy can revoke covenant promise. My wife's womb is blessed, not cursed.
The Father isn't counting your failures or measuring your faith—He's holding that baby you lost and holding YOU in the same embrace. He's running toward you with healing for your wife's body and restoration for what was stolen, not waiting for you to pray harder.
