"If we were really meant to have kids, it wouldn't be this hard - God's will would be obvious."
How it sounds in your head: Isn't God's will supposed to be clear? If He wanted us to be parents, wouldn't it just happen naturally? Maybe we're forcing something that isn't meant to be. All these treatments and disappointments feel like we're fighting against what God actually wants.
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
-- Ephesians 6:12Theological confusion equating difficulty with divine disapproval, mistaking spiritual warfare for God's closed door.
The pain and repeated failure feel like signals to stop trying. If God was in it, wouldn't there be more peace and less suffering?
YEARS of barrenness, mocked by Peninnah, weeping so hard the priest thought she was drunk. Then ONE prayer and immediate conception - years of warfare, instant breakthrough when she stopped accepting the lie.
I REFUSE the lie that difficulty means disapproval. IT IS WRITTEN: We wrestle against powers of darkness, not God's hesitation. Every obstacle is evidence the enemy fears what's coming. God already said 'blessed shall be the fruit of your body' in the BARAK blessing. IT IS WRITTEN: The thief comes to steal, but Jesus gives LIFE ABUNDANTLY. I don't interpret my circumstance by my feelings - I interpret my feelings by Scripture. Resistance isn't rejection. I'm Abraham's seed, and the blessing protected even MURDERERS in his line.
The Father isn't making it hard to test you - He's fighting FOR you while the enemy fights against you. He sees every negative test, every hormonal injection, every disappointed tear, and He's already celebrating the breakthrough that's closer than you think.
