"The enemy is too strong for me; I'm losing the spiritual battle"
How it sounds in your head: You keep getting hit with the same temptations, the same attacks, the same defeats. The enemy seems to know exactly where to strike. You must be weak spiritually because stronger Christians wouldn't struggle like this.
"Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."
-- Colossians 2:15Source: enemy - magnifying his power while minimizing Christ's finished work
The battles feel relentless - sexual temptation, financial pressure, marriage conflict - and you're tired. Other men seem to have it together while you're barely holding the line.
Jehoshaphat faced three massive armies - hopelessly outnumbered. He didn't even fight; he sent worship singers ahead, and the LORD set ambushes so the enemies destroyed each other. It took three days to gather all the plunder from enemies they never had to face.
I REFUSE the lie that the enemy is stronger than the Christ in me. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus disarmed all principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of their defeat. The devil isn't winning - he's already LOST. IT IS WRITTEN that I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me. Every weapon formed against me will not prosper because I am Abraham's seed by covenant, and the BARAK blessing causes the terror of God to fall on my enemies while I walk in supernatural protection. The battle belongs to the LORD, and He fights for me while I rest in finished work.
The Father isn't watching you struggle, hoping you get strong enough to win - He already won and seated you in victory. You're not in a boxing ring with the devil; you're in the victory parade watching his defeated parade by in chains.
