"The enemy has won because I'm running out of time to finish what God called me to do."
How it sounds in your head: I'm in my eighties now. How much time do I have left? I feel like I never completed my assignment. The enemy stalled me, distracted me, and now it's too late. I'm going to die with my mission unfinished.
"The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands."
-- Psalm 138:8Enemy lie using age and mortality to create urgency, regret, and sense of failed calling.
The awareness of limited time is constant—obituaries of peers, health scares, the reality that life doesn't extend forever. Dreams feel unfinished and opportunities seem gone.
Simeon waited his entire life for one moment—to see the Messiah. In his final days, God brought baby Jesus to the temple. Simeon held Him, blessed Him, and said 'Now I can die in peace.' God's timing was perfect, assignment completed.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm out of time or that God's call on my life has failed. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord will perfect that which concerns me—HE completes it, not my striving. IT IS WRITTEN that He completes the good work He started. I trust His timing over the enemy's pressure. The BARAK blessing includes fulfilled destiny. If there's breath in my lungs, there's purpose in my days. God wastes nothing—every moment matters in His economy.
The Father doesn't measure your life by unchecked boxes—He sees a son whose yes was enough, whose faithfulness mattered more than visible results. Like the prodigal whose 'wasted years' were instantly redeemed by the father's embrace, your time is not wasted; it's held in His hands.
