"The church just wants my money for fancy buildings and pastor salaries."
How it sounds in your head: Look at that new sound system. Look at the senior pastor's car. You're working minimum wage and they're asking you to give so they can upgrade the lobby? This is a business, not a ministry. They're using God to guilt you into funding their comfort.
"Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account."
-- Philippians 4:17Source: Cynicism and suspicion planted by enemy to block covenant blessing by attacking the integrity of God's storehouse.
Some churches genuinely misuse funds and live extravagantly while members struggle, giving your suspicion a foundation. Media constantly highlights ministry financial scandals, confirming your skepticism.
They were in EXTREME poverty and deep affliction, yet they gave BEYOND their ability with abundant joy, begging for the privilege to give. They didn't audit Paul's ministry budget—they gave in faith, and their generosity became legendary, proving giving blesses the giver regardless of recipient.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm responsible for how my tithe is spent or that human mismanagement cancels divine promises. IT IS WRITTEN that I seek the fruit that abounds to MY account, and God tracks my obedience, not church budgets. I am not giving to buildings or salaries—I am giving to the STOREHOUSE, and God commands blessing on my storehouse in return. IT IS WRITTEN: give and it shall be given to you, pressed down, shaken together, running over. The BARAK blessing doesn't depend on perfect pastors—it depends on a perfect covenant. I give in faith, and God handles the harvest personally.
The Father isn't waiting for churches to be perfect before He blesses your giving—He's running toward you with the multiplication principle that operates on YOUR obedience, not their budget meetings. He's preparing your harvest while you're still planting.
