"Spiritual warfare requires energy and strength I don't have anymore. I'm too exhausted to fight."
How it sounds in your head: I'm tired all the time. I nap twice a day. I can barely finish a conversation without losing my train of thought. How can I sustain a spiritual battle when I can't even sustain consciousness? Fighting requires stamina I lost twenty years ago. I'm too weary for warfare.
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:29-31Enemy exploiting physical exhaustion to convince him that spiritual authority requires natural energy rather than resting in Christ's finished work.
He falls asleep mid-prayer, forgets what he was declaring, and feels utterly spent by noon. Every attempt to 'fight' feels like climbing a mountain he doesn't have the strength to scale.
Jehoshaphat faced three armies and had ZERO strength to fight. God said, 'The battle is not yours, but God's. You will not need to fight.' They sang instead of fought, and God caused the enemies to kill each other—INSTANT victory without lifting a sword. They spent three days gathering spoils.
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual warfare requires my energy. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives power to the WEAK and increases strength to those with NO MIGHT. My exhaustion doesn't disqualify me—it qualifies me for HIS power. The battle is the LORD's, not mine. IT IS WRITTEN that He fights FOR me while I hold my peace. I don't need stamina; I need to REST in His finished work. When I am weak, THEN I am strong. I declare the BARAK blessing over my battles—the same covenant that gave Jehoshaphat victory without lifting a sword gives me victory while I rest. I speak the Word, and GOD fights. The blood of Jesus has already won; I just enforce the victory.
The Father isn't waiting for you to muster strength—He's running toward you, ready to fight FOR you while you rest. Your exhaustion is the invitation for His power to take over completely.
