"I can't take authority because I've failed too many times; my past disqualifies me from commanding anything."
How it sounds in your head: How can you command demons when you can't even command your own thoughts? You've stumbled, compromised, given in to fear and doubt a thousand times. Warriors are pure and strong; you're just trying to survive. Authority is for the sanctified, not the struggling.
"Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."
-- Colossians 2:15Source: religion's performance-based authority that ignores the blood and makes spiritual power dependent on track record.
You remember every failure vividly—the times you didn't speak up, the times fear won, the secret sins you still battle. How can you wield authority when your life feels like evidence against you?
Peter denied Jesus three times, cursing and swearing he didn't know Him. Weeks later, his shadow healed the sick as he walked by—no laying on of hands, no prayer, just his shadow. His failure didn't disqualify him; Jesus' blood qualified him instantly.
I REFUSE the lie that my past failures disqualify me from present authority. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus has already disarmed every principality and power and made a public spectacle of them. My authority is not based on my perfection but on His finished work. I am the righteousness of God IN CHRIST—not because I earned it, but because He gave it. The BARAK blessing protected liars, deceivers, and murderers because it was covenant, not conduct. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for me. I am a branch in the Vine, and His authority flows through me regardless of my stumbling. I command from His victory, not my own.
The Father sees you through the blood, not through your track record. He's running toward you with the ring of authority while you're still confessing your failures—He already counted you worthy the moment Jesus said 'It is finished.'
