"I need a spiritual authority over me to exercise authority properly; I can't do it alone."
How it sounds in your head: I don't have a pastor's covering. I'm not submitted to leadership like I should be. What if I step out of line? Real authority flows through hierarchy—apostles, prophets, pastors. I'm just a guy in the pew. I need permission.
"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
-- Hebrews 4:16Religious control system creating dependency, enemy using 'covering doctrine' to keep believers passive.
Decades of 'don't touch God's anointed' sermons. Authority looked like a chain of command—you need approval from above. Stepping out without a pastor's blessing feels rebellious. Safety seemed to be in submission to human leaders.
Cornelius, a Gentile with NO church membership, NO apostolic covering, NO formal connection to Jewish leadership, had an angel visit and Holy Spirit fall on his entire household INSTANTLY. God moved sovereignly outside all religious structures—Peter showed up to witness what God ALREADY did.
I REFUSE the lie that I need human covering to exercise authority. IT IS WRITTEN: I come BOLDLY to the throne of grace—not timidly, not through a chain of command. Jesus is my High Priest, and I have DIRECT ACCESS to the Father through His blood. I am a royal priesthood, called to declare His praises. The BARAK blessing didn't require Abraham to check with a board. IT IS WRITTEN: You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. I don't need a title or permission slip to use the NAME of Jesus. I take authority over every spirit of intimidation and control. I am submitted to Christ, and that is ENOUGH.
Your Father doesn't require an appointment through church staff. The prodigal didn't ask the older brother for permission to come home—he went straight to the FATHER. And the Father RAN. No hierarchy. No screening process. Just immediate, full-access LOVE. You have the same invitation.
