"Spiritual warfare is for mature Christians—I'm not ready for that yet."
How it sounds in your head: I need to grow more, study more, get stronger in my faith before I can confront the enemy. Spiritual warfare is advanced-level stuff, and I'm still struggling with basics. Maybe in a few years when I'm more mature, but not now.
"I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one."
-- 1 John 2:14Source: Religion created hierarchy and stages where Jesus gave instant authority at salvation—no waiting, no proving, no earning.
Church culture talks about 'spiritual maturity' as a prerequisite for power, making her feel she's not qualified yet. She's still working through issues, so how could she fight effectively?
David was a teenage shepherd, too young to even wear Saul's armor, when he faced Goliath. He didn't wait for maturity or military training—he used what he had (a sling) and killed the giant instantly while seasoned soldiers cowered in fear.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too immature for spiritual authority. IT IS WRITTEN that YOUNG believers are strong and have overcome the wicked one. I don't need years of maturity—I need the blood of Jesus, and I HAVE it. IT IS WRITTEN that God chose the weak things to shame the strong. My authority isn't based on my spiritual résumé; it's based on HIS finished work. I am Abraham's seed the moment I believed—the BARAK doesn't wait for maturity. It protects the mess, the beginner, the stumbler. The enemy fears my authority NOW, not someday.
The Father didn't tell the prodigal to mature before the party. He threw the celebration WHILE HE STILL SMELLED LIKE PIGS. Your authority is position, not progress. You're seated with Christ NOW—not after you figure it all out.
