"I'm too tired and worn out to fight anymore. Let someone else do it."
How it sounds in your head: I've fought the good fight for decades. I'm exhausted. Let the younger generation take over. I just want peace and rest, not more battles. I've earned the right to step back.
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31Enemy + physical exhaustion - using legitimate weariness to convince her to LAY DOWN WEAPONS instead of rest IN THE VINE.
Physical energy is genuinely limited. She's tired in body and sometimes soul. The world says retirement means disengagement, and she's applying that to spiritual authority.
At 85 years old, after 45 years of waiting, Caleb said 'Give me THIS mountain' and drove out giants. He declared 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war.' Age didn't diminish his warrior spirit or his strength IN GOD.
I REFUSE the lie that weariness disqualifies me from authority. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord RENEW their strength—this isn't about my natural energy but His SUPERNATURAL supply. Caleb at 85 said 'Give me this mountain' and drove out giants. My age and weariness don't limit God's strength IN me. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that His strength is made PERFECT in weakness. When I am weak, THEN I am strong because His power rests on me. I don't fight in human strength—I fight from a place of REST in the finished work. I am a BRANCH abiding in the VINE, and the sap of His Spirit flows through me. I am RENEWED, RESTORED, and RELENTLESS in His strength.
The Father isn't asking you to manufacture energy you don't have. He's inviting you to ABIDE, and as you rest in Him, His strength flows. You're not too tired—you're being repositioned to fight from REST instead of striving.
