"I can't rebuke demons because I have unconfessed sin"
How it sounds in your head: I snapped at my mom this morning and watched that show I shouldn't have last night. If I try to pray against this anxiety, God won't listen because I'm not clean enough. I need to get right first.
"For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified."
-- Hebrews 10:14Religious teaching that authority is conditional on perfect behavior, reintroducing law after grace
She hears sermons about 'unconfessed sin blocking prayers' and feels disqualified every time she messes up. Every mistake feels like losing her spiritual weapons until she confesses perfectly.
She was caught in the ACT of adultery—couldn't get more 'unconfessed sin' than that—dragged before Jesus by religious leaders demanding judgment. Jesus said 'Neither do I condemn you' and told her to go, instantly restored without a sin-cleansing process.
I REFUSE the lie that unconfessed sin blocks my authority. IT IS WRITTEN that by one offering I have been PERFECTED FOREVER—not perfected conditionally, not perfected until I mess up, but PERFECTED FOREVER. My righteousness is a GIFT, not an achievement. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. The BARAK protected Abraham even when he lied; the blood of Jesus covers what I can't even remember. I am a branch in the Vine, and my connection isn't severed by mistakes. I take authority from my POSITION, not my performance.
The Father isn't scanning your day for unconfessed sins before releasing your authority—He sees you through the blood, which covers everything from yesterday, today, and tomorrow. You're not re-justified every time you confess; you're already justified, and confession is just agreeing with what's already true.
