"Spiritual warfare is dangerous and I could get hurt if I confront the enemy."
How it sounds in your head: You've heard scary stories about people who messed with spiritual warfare and bad things happened. Maybe it's safer to just ignore the enemy and live a quiet Christian life. Fighting back might make things worse.
"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."
-- James 4:7Enemy fear tactic amplified by sensational stories that exaggerate demonic power and minimize Christ's complete victory.
Movies and stories make demons seem terrifying and powerful. When you've tried to stand against fear or bad thoughts, sometimes they got worse temporarily, making you think resistance is dangerous.
Seven guys tried to use Jesus' name without relationship and got beaten up by a demon-possessed man. But Paul, who KNEW Jesus, cast out demons with handkerchiefs. The difference wasn't danger—it was COVENANT relationship, which you HAVE.
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual warfare is dangerous for me. IT IS WRITTEN that when I resist the devil, HE flees from ME—not the other way around. I am not in danger; I am DANGEROUS to the kingdom of darkness. IT IS WRITTEN that nothing shall by any means hurt me because I have authority over ALL the enemy's power. The blood of Jesus is my shield and no weapon formed against me can prosper. I am under the BARAK blessing where the terror of God is upon my enemies. I don't fear demons—they fear the Name of Jesus I carry.
The Father isn't sending you into danger unprotected. He's already defeated every enemy and placed you IN CHRIST where you're untouchable. The battle is already won; you're just enforcing the victory.
