"She has three kids and a business while I can barely manage laundry."
How it sounds in your head: I see her Instagram empire while I'm drowning in dishes. She homeschools, runs a company, and looks flawless while I yell at my kids over spilled cereal. What's wrong with me that I can't handle what she makes look easy?
"For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise."
-- 2 Corinthians 10:12Enemy using another woman's curated success highlight reel to convince you that you're failing at everything.
You see her polished brand while living in your messy reality. She seems to have energy, help, and capacity you can't find while you're just trying to survive the day.
Martha compared her frantic serving to Mary's sitting and demanded Jesus make Mary work like she did. Jesus didn't rebuke Mary for doing less - He told Martha she was anxious about many things when only ONE thing was needed, validating Mary's simpler choice immediately.
I REFUSE the lie that I should be able to do what another woman does. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 10:12 that comparison is not wise. I am not called to her assignment or her capacity. My pace with Jesus is PERFECT for me. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 1:6 that He who began a good work in me will complete it - not her timeline, MINE. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and the Father celebrates my three loads of laundry with the same joy He celebrates her business launch.
The Father isn't comparing you to her - He's running toward YOU with the robe while you're still in yesterday's yoga pants. Your simple obedience delights Him more than her impressive empire.
