"They found their calling and I'm still lost - I missed my window of opportunity."
How it sounds in your head: Your college roommate is running a startup. Your friend from church is leading a ministry. That guy you know is making six figures doing what he loves. They figured it out. You're still sending resumes and wondering what you even want. Maybe you missed your calling while you were busy being confused.
"There are many plans in a man's heart, nevertheless the LORD's counsel—that will stand."
-- Proverbs 19:21Enemy's lie that calling has an expiration date, that confusion equals disqualification, that clarity is earned through early decisions.
The 'what do you do' question haunts you because you don't have a good answer. They have mission statements and LinkedIn bios that make sense. You're still figuring it out, and late twenties feels too late to still be searching.
Moses spent 40 years as a prince, then 40 years as a SHEPHERD in the wilderness thinking his destiny was over - at 80 God said 'NOW I'm sending you to deliver a nation.' His greatest work started when most people retire.
I REFUSE the lie that I missed my calling or it's too late because I'm still figuring it out. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord's counsel will STAND - His purpose for me has no expiration date. Moses started at 80. David was anointed but waited YEARS. IT IS WRITTEN that He who began a good work in me will complete it. My current confusion doesn't disqualify my future clarity. I stand in the BARAK blessing where timing doesn't diminish destiny. The Father's plan for me WILL come to pass regardless of how late it feels. My SUDDENLY is coming.
The Father isn't disappointed that you haven't figured it out yet. He's running toward you with CLARITY that can come in a moment - Moses got his from a burning bush after 40 years of wandering, and your encounter with purpose is just as close.
