"They got the scholarship and I didn't—God loves them more."
How it sounds in your head: You both applied. You both prayed. They got the full ride and the congratulations. You got the rejection email. God clearly has favorites and you're not one.
"For I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob."
-- Malachi 3:6Religion teaches blessings as merit badges for performance, making God's favor appear transactional and preferential.
You can literally measure the outcome—they got blessed, you got bypassed. It feels like divine rejection with a paper trail.
Joseph was in PRISON—no scholarship, no opportunity, literal chains. 'The LORD was with Joseph and he was a successful man' WHILE IN PRISON. Success in God's eyes has nothing to do with external circumstances.
I REFUSE the lie that someone else's blessing means God loves me less. IT IS WRITTEN that God does not change—His love for me is constant, not conditional on scholarships. Their acceptance doesn't equal my rejection by Heaven. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. The BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, not competition. Abraham was blessed when he lied, Jacob when he deceived, Judah when he sinned—my blessing isn't based on performance. I am in Christ, and that's the only acceptance letter that matters eternally.
The Father isn't dividing blessings like limited scholarships. He's running toward you with the robe and ring while you're still comparing yourself to your brother at the party.
