"Seeking healing is selfish; spiritual maturity means accepting suffering with grace."
How it sounds in your head: When I want healing, I feel guilty - like I should be more concerned with God's glory than my comfort. Mature Christians I admire seem to suffer nobly, quoting verses about contentment. Maybe asking for healing is immature faith, focusing on my body when I should focus on my soul and others' needs.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

The BARAK blessing of Abraham includes divine health - enemies defeated, body blessed. Asking for what Jesus DIED to give me isn't selfish; it's faith. I receive healing NOW as my covenant right.
The Father isn't waiting for you to become 'mature enough' to stop wanting healing - He's running toward you with the wholeness Jesus purchased on the cross, delighting in your desire for freedom because a daughter who asks believes her Father is GOOD.
