"Satan is winning because my wife died and I'm alone in this battle now."
How it sounds in your head: She was my prayer warrior, my spiritual covering. Now she's gone and I feel exposed, vulnerable. The attacks seem worse without her. Maybe God removed His protection when He took her.
"And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed."
-- Deuteronomy 31:8Enemy lie exploiting grief to suggest spiritual abandonment and increased vulnerability.
The loneliness is crushing and her absence creates tangible void in daily spiritual rhythms. Without her prayers and partnership, spiritual battles feel exponentially harder and more isolating.
When Elijah was taken and Elisha was suddenly alone, he received a DOUBLE portion of the spirit. He struck the water and it parted IMMEDIATELY—the same power, even stronger, despite being 'alone' now.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm spiritually vulnerable because my wife is gone. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord will never leave me nor forsake me. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells IN me. My protection was never dependent on her prayers—it's the blood of Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN that He goes before me. The BARAK covenant blessing covers me completely. I am surrounded by His presence, never alone, fully protected.
The Father hasn't left you alone in the battlefield—He's closer now than ever, whispering 'I've got you.' Like the prodigal returning without his companion, you're still met with the full embrace, the full inheritance, the full protection of a Father who never stopped watching.
