"I'm oppressed by darkness and can't escape this spiritual heaviness."
How it sounds in your head: There's a weight I can't shake. It's more than sadness—it's spiritual oppression, like darkness is pressing down. I wake up heavy, go to bed heavy. Prayer doesn't lift it. Maybe I need inner healing or someone to cast something out.
"To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."

She's in perimenopause, sleep-deprived from caregiving aging parents and teenagers, carrying emotional labor for everyone. The physical heaviness FEELS spiritual, and religion taught her that good Christians should always feel joy.
So depressed he wanted to DIE, hiding under a tree saying 'It is enough; take my life.' God's response wasn't deliverance ministry—it was SLEEP and FOOD. An angel fed him TWICE, he slept, then God spoke gently.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm oppressed by inescapable darkness. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus gives beauty for ashes and the garment of PRAISE for the spirit of heaviness. The heaviness isn't my identity—RIGHTEOUSNESS is. I am a tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord. IT IS WRITTEN that the JOY of the Lord is my strength. I don't have to manufacture joy—it's the OIL He pours. By the BARAK blessing, I am blessed coming in and going out. The Father doesn't condemn my exhaustion—He FEEDS me, like He fed Elijah. I stand in GRACE, not guilt. The heaviness is BROKEN by the TRUTH of who I AM in Christ.
The Father isn't disappointed that you're exhausted—He's pulling out a chair and saying 'Come, rest.' While you see spiritual failure, He sees a daughter carrying a heavy load who needs FOOD and SLEEP and kindness, and He's already preparing the table.
