"The enemy is winning because death is near and I'm running out of time."
How it sounds in your head: Satan knows he's about to lose you to heaven, so he's attacking harder than ever. You can feel death approaching. These last days are his final chance to destroy you, and you're too weak to withstand his last assault. He's going to win these final moments.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
-- Psalm 23:4Enemy exploitation of death-fear to hide the believer's guaranteed victory and immediate heaven entrance.
Proximity to death feels like enemy advantage. Physical decline and dying process seem like evidence of losing ground to darkness.
Dying, crucified, literal hours left to live, lifetime of crime behind him. He simply said 'Remember me' and Jesus said 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise'—instant guarantee of heaven, zero process, at the very moment of death.
I REFUSE the lie that the enemy wins because death is near. IT IS WRITTEN that even in the valley of the shadow of death, I fear NO evil because God is WITH me. Death is a defeated enemy—Christ removed its sting. To be absent from this body is to be PRESENT with the Lord. IT IS WRITTEN that nothing—not death, nor life, nor anything else—can separate me from God's love. The BARAK blessing follows me into eternity. The enemy is TERRIFIED because I'm about to see Jesus face to face.
The Father isn't watching you struggle toward a finish line—He's preparing the biggest homecoming party heaven has ever seen. Like the Prodigal's father, He's been watching the road, and the moment you arrive, the entire celebration of eternity begins.
