"The enemy is destroying my mind with dementia and I'm losing the battle for my thoughts."
How it sounds in your head: I forget things constantly now. Names, conversations, where I put things. What if I forget God? What if dementia takes my faith? The enemy is stealing my mind and I can't stop it.
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands."
-- Isaiah 49:15-16Enemy lie weaponizing cognitive decline to create fear of spiritual loss.
Memory loss is measurable and progressive—forgetting appointments, repeating stories, confusion about time. If you can't remember yesterday, how can you trust you'll remember God?
Crippled, forgotten, hiding in obscurity at Lo Debar, Mephibosheth couldn't come to David. David SOUGHT him out, restored everything INSTANTLY, and he ate at the king's table for life—not because he remembered, but because David remembered covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that cognitive decline threatens my salvation or God's love. IT IS WRITTEN that He has inscribed me on the palms of His hands—I cannot be forgotten. My identity is in Christ, not in my memory. IT IS WRITTEN that nothing can separate me from His love. Even if my mind fails, His covenant stands. The BARAK blessing doesn't depend on my mental sharpness. I am sealed by the Holy Spirit unto redemption.
The Father doesn't require you to remember Him perfectly—He remembers YOU perfectly. Like the prodigal who might have forgotten his father's face in the far country, the Father never forgot his, and ran toward him with full restoration before a word was spoken.
