"The darkness in my mind means Satan has more control than God does."
How it sounds in your head: The thoughts won't stop—scary, dark, intrusive images and ideas. If God was really in control, my mind wouldn't be this dark. The devil must own more of me than Jesus does.
"Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
-- 2 Corinthians 10:5Source: Enemy accusation exploiting intrusive thoughts, combined with religious teaching that 'bad thoughts' equal demonic control rather than LIES to reject.
The thoughts feel so REAL and so DARK that they seem like proof of possession or control. When you're taught that 'you are what you think,' intrusive thoughts become identity. The shame of the darkness makes you hide instead of seeing thoughts as external ATTACKS to reject.
The demoniac was LEGION-possessed—cutting himself, naked, living in tombs, so far gone people gave up on him. One encounter with Jesus and the demons FLED, and he was found 'clothed and in his right MIND.' Instant deliverance from the deepest darkness—no process, no steps, just Jesus's authority.
I REFUSE the lie that darkness in my mind means Satan controls me. IT IS WRITTEN that I cast down arguments and bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Intrusive thoughts are not MY thoughts—they are ENEMY lies I reject. IT IS WRITTEN that the Son has set me FREE and I am free indeed. I have the MIND of Christ. Satan does not control me, possess me, or own any part of me. I am fully God's, sealed by the Holy Spirit, hidden in Christ. The darkness is not evidence of control—it's evidence of a DEFEATED enemy throwing tantrums.
The Father is clothing you in your right mind like He did the demoniac—seeing you not as controlled by darkness but as FREED by Jesus. The intrusive thoughts aren't YOU; they're the enemy's last desperate attempt to convince you he has power he doesn't actually have.
