"Satan is stealing my final years and I'm powerless to stop the decline."
How it sounds in your head: I worked my whole life and now I'm too sick to enjoy retirement. My body hurts, my friends are gone, my purpose feels finished. The devil is robbing me of these years and I'm just waiting to die.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Source: Enemy accusation that aging equals diminishing value and that physical decline means spiritual theft.
The contrast between retirement dreams and reality is stark—planned travel is now impossible, grandchildren visits are exhausting, pain is constant. When the body fails, it feels like theft of promised 'golden years.'
Abraham was 100 years old, Sarah was 90, and their bodies were 'as good as dead'—yet God gave them Isaac and Sarah laughed with JOY. Their greatest miracle and purpose came in the season everyone else would call finished.
I REFUSE the lie that Satan is stealing my final years. IT IS WRITTEN that God RESTORES the years the locust has eaten. These are not decline years—these are RESTORATION years. My purpose is not finished; my greatest impact may be NOW. IT IS WRITTEN that those planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God—they shall still bear FRUIT in old age, they shall be fresh and flourishing. I am not diminishing—I am being CROWNED. The BARAK blessing doesn't expire with age—Abraham received his greatest promise at 100, and I am heir to that SAME covenant blessing.
The Father isn't watching you decline—He's preparing your Isaac season, the miracle that makes you LAUGH with joy in your nineties. What you call 'final years,' He calls 'finest wine,' saved for last because the best is yet to come.
