"Real faith produces results—my lack of breakthrough proves I'm not really believing."
How it sounds in your head: I hear testimonies of others getting instant answers, but my prayers seem to hit the ceiling. If faith is supposed to move mountains, why is nothing moving in my life? Maybe I'm just going through motions.
"He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform."
-- Romans 4:20-21Source: Performance-based religion that measures spiritual maturity by visible results rather than resting in identity.
Decades of faithful church attendance and Bible reading haven't produced the dramatic testimonies he hears from others. His fixed income hasn't changed, health issues persist, and he feels like a second-class believer.
God promised Abraham a son when he was 75 years old, called him 'father of many nations' while he was childless, and Abraham believed God. Yet Isaac wasn't born until Abraham was 100—a 25-year gap between promise and manifestation, during which Abraham was still called righteous by faith.
I REFUSE the lie that lack of visible results means lack of real faith. IT IS WRITTEN that Abraham was counted righteous by faith 25 YEARS before Isaac was born—his faith was real during the decades of waiting. My faith isn't measured by my breakthrough timeline; it's measured by WHO I'm trusting. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:29 that I am Abraham's seed and heir according to PROMISE, not according to visible results. The barak blessing is MINE by covenant, whether I see it manifested today or not. I rest in His faithfulness, not my production.
The Father sees your faith as perfect because you're IN Christ, whose faith is perfect. Like the prodigal's father who never stopped watching the road, your Father is running toward you with breakthrough, not waiting for you to prove your faith is strong enough first.
