"Other people's prayers work but mine don't. God likes them better than me."
How it sounds in your head: My friend prayed for her grandma and she got better. I prayed for mine and she died. My youth leader prays and sees miracles and I pray and nothing happens. God must have favorites and I'm not one of them.
"Then Peter opened his mouth and said: 'In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.'"

She sees different outcomes and the easiest explanation is that God likes some people more. This is especially painful in preteen years when she's already comparing herself to everyone in every area.
Paul, who raised the dead and healed the sick, prayed THREE TIMES for his own thorn in the flesh to be removed and God said NO. Not because God loved Paul less, but because God had different purposes - proving different outcomes don't equal different love levels.
I REFUSE the lie that God likes other people better. IT IS WRITTEN that God shows NO PARTIALITY - He doesn't have favorites! Even Paul, who raised the dead, prayed three times for his own healing and God said no - proving different outcomes don't mean different love levels. I am just as heard, just as loved, just as precious to the Father as any other believer. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 2:11 there is NO PARTIALITY with God - He calls favoritism sin and doesn't do what He forbids. The barak blessing covers me equally because covenant isn't based on who God likes best but on Jesus' blood that covers us all the same.
Your Father doesn't have a favorites list where some kids get miracles and others get silence. He loves you with the exact same fierce, complete, impossible-to-earn love He has for every believer, and different outcomes don't mean different levels of His affection.
