"If I really believed, I'd see instant results like the heroes in Scripture."
How it sounds in your head: Peter walked on water immediately. The woman touched Jesus and was healed instantly. I've been praying for weeks with zero change. Obviously my belief is fake or defective compared to theirs.
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
-- Habakkuk 2:3Comparison trap that measures present faith against edited highlight reels of Scripture, ignoring the Father runs to you NOW.
He reads miracle stories in minutes that span years of relationship, assuming their faith was flawless and instant while his is slow and broken. Social media feeds this with everyone's victory posts and zero process.
God promised Abraham a son when he was 75 years old. Isaac was born when Abraham was 100—a 25-YEAR WAIT between promise and fulfillment. Abraham believed God, was called righteous, yet waited DECADES. Delay didn't mean defective faith.
I REFUSE the lie that delay equals defective faith. IT IS WRITTEN that even God's promises sometimes tarry, yet they WILL SURELY COME. Abraham waited 25 YEARS for Isaac and was called the father of FAITH. IT IS WRITTEN that I am Abraham's seed, heir according to PROMISE. Joseph had 13 years between dream and fulfillment—God's timing isn't condemnation of my belief. I am a BRANCH abiding in the VINE—fruit comes in SEASONS, not on-demand. The BARAK blessing that protected Abraham through decades of waiting protects me NOW. God's delay is not denial. I am RIGHTEOUS by faith, not by speed of manifestation.
The Father isn't grading your faith by how fast you see results. He's the one who told Abraham 'I will' and then let 25 years pass—because TIMING is sovereignty, not punishment for weak belief.
