"Real Christians wouldn't have treated me this way, so I must not be real either."
How it sounds in your head: If I was really a Christian, they would have accepted me. If they're real Christians and they rejected me, then maybe I'm the fake one. Maybe I never really belonged.
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!"
-- 1 John 3:1Source: religious condemnation - using others' behavior to measure own identity.
She's measuring her identity by their acceptance, and when they withdrew it, her entire spiritual identity felt like a lie.
His own brothers—the children of the covenant—stripped him, threw him in a pit, and sold him into slavery. Their rejection didn't change his destiny; it positioned him for it.
I REFUSE the lie that their rejection defines my reality. IT IS WRITTEN that I am called a child of God—not because of their vote, but because of the Father's LOVE BESTOWED. I am a child because the Spirit HIMSELF bears witness, not because people gave permission. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:29 that if I am Christ's, I am Abraham's seed and HEIR according to promise. The BARAK doesn't rest on me because of church membership—it rests because of COVENANT. I am HEIR, BELOVED, CHOSEN—the pit doesn't change the palace.
While you're still in the pit wondering if you belong, the Father has already measured you for the multicolored robe and positioned the throne. Their betrayal is not His ballot.
