"The church just wants my money and free labor—I'm being used."
How it sounds in your head: Every service ends with an offering appeal. Every conversation becomes a volunteer ask. They know I can do IT work, so suddenly I'm expected to fix everything for free. Meanwhile, I'm working overtime to pay bills and they want 10% on top of my time. I feel like a resource, not a person.
"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:7Source: Actual experiences of being volunteered beyond capacity, mixed with enemy's accusation that your value to God is transactional.
You WERE asked repeatedly to serve beyond your capacity, often without appreciation or boundaries. The financial pressure felt relentless when you were already stressed about provision.
In extreme famine with only enough meal and oil for one last meal before death, God asked her to give it to Elijah FIRST. She did, and her jar of meal didn't run out and her jug of oil never failed for YEARS. She gave from emptiness and received supernatural endless supply—but it was invitation, not manipulation.
I REFUSE the lie that God sees me as a resource to exploit. IT IS WRITTEN that God loves a cheerful giver, not a manipulated one. Religious pressure is NOT the Father's voice. IT IS WRITTEN that I am God's workmanship created for good works He PREPARED in advance—works that flow from rest, not striving. I am Abraham's seed, heir of the PROMISE. The BARAK blessing means provision flows TO me so it can flow THROUGH me. Like the widow's oil that never ran out, my supply is SUPERNATURAL when I'm connected to the Source. I give freely, not from guilt. I serve from overflow, not obligation.
The Father is removing the guilt and showing you the difference between religious extraction and Spirit-led generosity. He's restoring the JOY of giving and serving by first filling you with His abundance. You're a son, not a resource.
