"Only people with high incomes can retire comfortably and I'll never earn enough."
How it sounds in your head: You're not a doctor or lawyer or tech executive. You're in a regular job with a regular salary. The articles about retirement all assume six-figure incomes and maxed-out contributions. That's not your reality—you'll be the working-class woman who never stops working.
"Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?"
-- James 2:5World: Creates class-based provision that denies the kingdom economy where sparrows are fed, lilies are clothed, and the poor are rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom (James 2:5).
Every retirement calculator and financial article assumes income levels and contribution rates she's never hit. The math is simple—save 15% of income for 30 years assumes an income where 15% actually accumulates meaningfully, and hers doesn't.
Peter was a fisherman with no high income or savings—when tax money was needed, Jesus told him to catch ONE fish and it would have the exact coin needed in its mouth. Provision came supernaturally, completely independent of his earning capacity or salary level—one miracle fish solved an immediate financial need without career advancement.
I REFUSE the lie that low income disqualifies me from provision and rest. IT IS WRITTEN that God chose the poor to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom—I'm an HEIR, and inheritance doesn't require six figures. Peter caught a fish with a coin in its mouth to pay taxes—provision that had nothing to do with his salary. IT IS WRITTEN that God feeds birds who earn nothing and I'm worth more than many sparrows. The BARAK blessing made Abraham wealthy starting from NOTHING—wealth came from covenant, not career level. I am blessed in the city and in the field, in my current income and in my future provision. My retirement security isn't built on high earnings but on the Father's faithful nature to provide for His own regardless of income bracket. I am Abraham's seed and heir by PROMISE.
The Father isn't checking your tax bracket to determine if you qualify for provision in old age. He's the one who feeds birds that earn nothing and clothe lilies that don't work—your provision has never been about your income level but about His nature as a Father who provides for His children regardless of what tax bracket the world assigns you.
