"I'll have to work until I die because I can't afford to stop."
How it sounds in your head: My body hurts. I'm exhausted. But the bills keep coming and the numbers don't add up. I watch younger people at work and feel invisible, expendable. I wanted these years to rest, to travel, to enjoy grandchildren. Instead I'm trapped.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
-- Matthew 11:28Source: Enemy stealing the Sabbath rest principle and world's economic slavery system that measures worth by productivity.
Her body is giving her real signals of exhaustion, and the financial math seems ironclad—income vs expenses leaves no room. Society worships productivity, making rest feel like failure.
Two million people unemployed for 40 years—no jobs, no economy, no income. Yet every single morning, bread appeared on the ground and everyone had EXACTLY enough. God sustained retired slaves for four decades without them lifting a finger to earn it.
I REFUSE the lie that I must work until I die. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus calls the weary to REST, not endless labor. My worth isn't in my productivity—I am righteous by GIFT, not by grinding. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 23:2 that He makes me lie down in green pastures; He LEADS me beside still waters. The BARAK blessing means I'm blessed in my coming and going, and God commands blessing on my storehouses. My Father provides for the birds who don't work—how much more for His daughter?
Your Father sees your exhaustion and He's not demanding more—He's preparing a place of rest. Like He fed two million unemployed people for decades, He knows how to sustain you when productivity stops and REST begins.
