"My wheelchair defines me and makes me incomplete in God's eyes."
How it sounds in your head: I've spent decades in this body that won't cooperate. I'm approaching the end and I'm still broken. God must see me as defective. I'll never be whole until heaven, if then.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17Religion teaches that physical wholeness equals spiritual approval, making the body's limitation feel like God's rejection.
She's lived 90+ years watching others walk, dance, move freely while she couldn't. Every mirror, every dependency reinforces the message that something is fundamentally wrong with her.
Crippled in both feet from age 5, lived in hiding, saw himself as a 'dead dog.' King David RESTORED him to permanent place at the king's table, gave him all of Saul's land, treated him as a SON—while he was STILL lame. His disability didn't disqualify him from royal favor.
I REFUSE the lie that my body's limitations define my worth. IT IS WRITTEN that I am a NEW CREATION in Christ—complete, whole, fully loved RIGHT NOW. My wheelchair does not diminish my value in the Father's eyes. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO CONDEMNATION for me in Christ Jesus. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, crowned with the BARAK blessing of Abraham. The Father runs toward me with the robe, the ring, the sandals—not after I'm healed, but NOW. I am COMPLETE in Him who is the head of all principality and power.
The Father sees you through Christ's finished work—COMPLETE, BELOVED, PERFECT. Like Mephibosheth at the king's table, you're invited to feast NOT because you can walk, but because of COVENANT LOVE that has nothing to do with your body's ability.
