"My value increases when I'm smaller and decreases when I gain weight."
How it sounds in your head: When I'm thin, people are nicer. When I gain weight, I feel invisible or judged. My social currency is tied to my size. Smaller means better, more likable, more worthy of love and attention.
"But from those who seemed to be something—whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man—for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me."
-- Galatians 2:6Source: World system that literally assigns higher value to women who take up less space, both physically and metaphorically.
You've experienced tangible differences in how people treat you based on your size - more attention when smaller, less visibility when larger - proving the world's value system is real.
Zacchaeus was SHORT - the Bible records his physical limitation. Jesus didn't pass him by for taller men. He called him DOWN from the tree and invited Himself to dinner. Physical stature didn't determine spiritual worthiness. Salvation came to his house THAT DAY.
I REFUSE the lie that my value fluctuates with my weight or that smaller is somehow holier. IT IS WRITTEN that God shows NO favoritism based on outward appearance - His love for me is constant, not conditional on my size. My value was set at the CROSS, where Jesus deemed me worthy of His blood. IT IS WRITTEN that my adornment is the hidden person of the heart, where the Holy Spirit dwells. I am fearfully and wonderfully made AT EVERY SIZE. The BARAK blessing doesn't have a weight requirement. I am blessed, chosen, loved, and delighted in - PERIOD. My value is FIXED in Christ.
Your Father's love doesn't go up when the scale goes down. He's not more proud of you at a smaller size. He's running toward you with the same ROBE, the same RING, the same FEAST whether you're a size 2 or 22. His delight in you is based on WHOSE you are, not what you weigh.
