THE LIE Job Loss & Unemployment

"My skills are outdated and irrelevant in today's job market."

How it sounds in your head: Technology passed me by. I don't know the new systems, the buzzwords, the platforms everyone uses. Younger workers are faster, cheaper, more current. What I know doesn't matter anymore.

IT IS WRITTEN Psalm 92:14

"They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing."

-- Psalm 92:14

Enemy whispers: Your knowledge is obsolete, your experience worthless, you can't keep up. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Psalm 92:14 - 'They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.' Fresh. Flourishing. IN OLD AGE. Your wisdom is the fruit—patience, discernment, relational skill that can't be taught in training videos. God doesn't update you like software; He UNFOLDS you. You are a branch in the Vine, and branches don't work to bear fruit—they ABIDE and fruit comes automatically.

Quick Truth: LIE: Skills outdated. TRUTH: You bear fresh fruit in old age; wisdom is the harvest - Psalm 92:14

WHERE THIS LIE COMES FROM

Enemy attack + culture's obsession with new over wise.

Why this feels true:

Job descriptions list software she's never heard of. Interviews feel like speaking a foreign language. The world genuinely has changed dramatically.

THE BIBLICAL PRECEDENT Exodus 7:7

Moses

Moses was 80 years old—ancient even by their standards—when God launched him into his greatest assignment: delivering an entire nation. His 'outdated' shepherd skills became the foundation for leading millions, and God provided INSTANT signs and wonders to confirm him.

YOUR CONFESSION Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my skills are irrelevant. IT IS WRITTEN that I bear fruit in old age, FRESH and FLOURISHING. I am a branch abiding in the Vine; fruit comes from CONNECTION, not my ability to master new platforms. My wisdom, discernment, and decades of experience are the fruit God is cultivating. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham is mine through Christ—favor that opens doors technology cannot close. I don't produce value through performance; I CARRY value because I'm His daughter. My relevance flows from COVENANT.

THE GRACE REVEALED

But God actually:

The Father is connecting you to opportunities that VALUE wisdom over widgets, experience over software. He's already picked the place that needs exactly what you carry—and they'll consider it a gift from heaven when you arrive, not a compromise.
