"I'm too expensive to hire. Companies want cheaper, younger workers."
How it sounds in your head: Your salary history prices you out. They can get two junior people for what you cost. Your experience is a liability in their budget. You're going to have to take a massive pay cut or stay unemployed. You cost too much.
"The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein."
-- Psalm 24:1World + enemy: agreement with scarcity economics that denies covenant abundance, making your worth about cost-benefit instead of BARAK blessing.
You've been told you're 'overqualified' which is code for 'too expensive.' You see job postings with salary ranges below your last paycheck. Companies are openly hiring junior people. The math seems irrefutable.
Solomon asked for wisdom. God gave him wisdom PLUS riches and honor he didn't even ask for - so much wealth that no king would ever compare. God didn't say 'too expensive to bless you that much.' He gave ABOVE the request because He's not budget-limited.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too expensive to hire. IT IS WRITTEN that the earth is the LORD'S and all its fullness - He's not limited by HR budgets. The silver is HIS, the gold is HIS. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham is mine, the BARAK that made him LENDER to nations. I don't fit in their budget - I BRING blessing that creates budget. My worth is not determined by salary comps - it's determined by covenant. My Father owns it ALL, and He's directing me to the place that's PREPARED to receive what I carry, where provision is already released.
Your Father isn't worried about what you cost. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and the hills themselves. He's already prepared the place where your value is seen, where provision flows freely, and He's opening that door NOW.
