"My parents are fighting about money, and it's my fault because I cost too much."
How it sounds in your head: I hear them arguing at night about bills. Mom said we can't afford my club fees or my braces right now. Dad said something about me needing new shoes. I feel like if I didn't exist or didn't need things, they wouldn't be fighting. Maybe I should stop asking for anything. Maybe I'm the problem.
"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward."
-- Psalm 127:3Enemy weaponizing adult stress to make a child carry false guilt, planting seeds of unworthiness and self-blame.
She's hearing her name in the middle of financial arguments and her developing brain is connecting dots that don't belong together—she's taking responsibility for adult problems she can't control. She's internalizing financial stress as personal failure.
A small boy brought five loaves and two fish to Jesus—it looked like not enough, too small, insignificant. But Jesus took what seemed insufficient and fed 5,000 MEN plus women and children with 12 BASKETS left over. What looked like 'not enough' in a child's hands became MORE than enough in Jesus' hands.
I REFUSE the lie that I am a burden or that my needs are too much. IT IS WRITTEN that children are a heritage from the Lord, a REWARD, not a bill. I am not the problem—I am blessed and highly favored. My Father in heaven knows how to give good gifts to His children, and my needs are not too big for Him. IT IS WRITTEN that He supplies all my needs according to HIS riches in glory. I am wanted, I am valued, I am provided for. My existence is not a financial problem—it's a divine blessing. The BARAK blessing covers my entire family.
Your Father is not stressed about your needs—He's eager to provide them. He doesn't see you as a cost; He sees you as His precious daughter, and He's about to show your family that He can provide abundantly beyond what you're even asking for. You are not too much. You are loved extravagantly.
