Too Much
"My passion for God makes people uncomfortable. I should tone down my faith to fit in."

How it sounds in your head: I'm the one always bringing conversations back to Jesus. I see my family roll their eyes when I share what God's been teaching me. Even at church, my hunger feels like it makes people nervous. Maybe if I were more 'normal' about my faith...

Psalm 34:3

"Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together."

-- Psalm 34:3
Enemy whispers: Your passion makes people uncomfortable. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Psalm 34:3 - GLORIFY THE LORD WITH ME; let us EXALT His name TOGETHER. David didn't tone down his worship. He INVITED OTHERS UP. Your passion isn't too much - it's an INVITATION. The Father isn't asking you to shrink your fire. He's asking you to BURN BRIGHTER so the cold can find warmth. You're not too passionate. You're CONTAGIOUS.
Quick Truth: LIE: My passion makes people uncomfortable. TRUTH: Glorify the Lord WITH ME (Ps 34:3) - your fire is INVITATION.

Religion + world: Confusing lukewarm comfort with mature faith.

Why this feels true:

You've watched passionate worship get labeled 'charismatic excess,' felt the judgment when you raised hands while others stood stiff, been told you're 'too much' about Jesus by people who claim to follow Him. Your fire exposes their embers.

2 Samuel 6:14-22
David Dancing Before the Ark

He danced before the Lord with ALL HIS MIGHT, wearing a linen ephod (priestly garment, not kingly robes), LEAPING and DANCING so passionately his wife Michal DESPISED him for it. David's response: 'I will become even more undignified than this.' God blessed David's house. Michal remained BARREN. Passion produces. Criticism stays empty.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my passion for God is too much for people to handle. IT IS WRITTEN that I am to GLORIFY THE LORD and EXALT His name - and I will not dim my worship to fit dead religion. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, ABLAZE with His presence, not apologizing for the FIRE. The BARAK blessing covers my WORSHIP - blessed in my praise, favored in my passion, PROTECTED from those who despise my devotion. IT IS WRITTEN that I will become even MORE undignified than this, because my worship is for AN AUDIENCE OF ONE. I am David before the ark - dancing with ALL MY MIGHT while critics stay barren.

But God actually:

The Father is NOT asking you to calm your worship - He's TURNING UP THE MUSIC. He's running toward you with the LINEN EPHOD and the SPACE to dance, celebrating that you finally stopped performing for people and started praising for HIM.
