"My parents can't afford bills, so my giving would hurt them"
How it sounds in your head: If I give my allowance, that's less I'm asking my parents for later. They're already stressed about money - me giving seems selfish when it just means they'll have to cover what I spent. I should keep it to ease their burden.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

She hears money fights and sees stress on her parents' faces. It feels more loving to hoard her small amount than 'waste' it on giving when her family is struggling.
Her son was about to starve to death when she gave their last meal to Elijah - seemed irresponsible and cruel to her child. Instead, INSTANT miracle provision began: flour and oil never ran out, feeding her AND her son through the entire famine for YEARS.
I REFUSE the lie that my obedience hurts my family! IT IS WRITTEN that God shall supply ALL our need according to HIS riches - my giving doesn't create lack, it invites overflow for my WHOLE household. The widow's son was starving yet her generosity SAVED him with miracle provision that lasted years. I am not responsible to BE my family's provider - God is. The BARAK blessing that covers me covers them BECAUSE of me. IT IS WRITTEN that the righteous are not forsaken nor their descendants begging bread. My generosity positions my family for windows-of-heaven blessing - I'm not hurting them, I'm unlocking provision for ALL of us!
The Father doesn't see your giving as selfish - He sees a daughter who trusts Him to cover her family, who believes He's bigger than their lack. Your obedience shifts the spiritual atmosphere over your household, inviting His supply where stress has reigned. You're not the provider - but your faith opens the door for THE Provider.
