"My insomnia will sabotage my career, relationships, and future. I can't build a life like this."
How it sounds in your head: How can I succeed at work when I'm exhausted? Who would want to build a future with someone who can't even sleep right? This will cost me opportunities, relationships, everything I'm trying to build. My inability to rest will destroy what I'm working toward.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Enemy's fear projection that makes current struggle determinative of entire future, stealing hope in present by terrorizing about tomorrow.
She's already missed work, struggled in relationships, felt the consequences. If it's this hard now, how could she handle marriage, kids, promotions? The trajectory feels obvious and terrifying.
Hannah was so tormented she couldn't eat, wept constantly, was bitter in soul—the priest thought she was drunk. Her anguish looked like it would define her future. One encounter at the temple, and she went home peaceful, ate, and conceived the prophet Samuel.
I REFUSE the lie that my current struggle will sabotage my future. IT IS WRITTEN that God's thoughts toward me are peace, to give me a future and a hope—not disaster and limitation. Hannah's torment looked permanent until one moment changed everything; my insomnia doesn't define my trajectory. IT IS WRITTEN that ALL things work together for good for those who love God—this season is working FOR me, not against me. The BARAK blessing declares I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath—my sleep struggle doesn't disqualify me from the future God prepared. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 2:10 that I am His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works He prepared beforehand. My career, my relationships, my calling—all secured by His word, not threatened by my current battle. I will build the life He promised because His word doesn't return void.
The Father already sees your future, and it's not defined by insomnia. Hannah's torment reversed in one encounter. Your current exhaustion isn't writing your story—His faithfulness is. He's prepared good works, relationships, and breakthrough that no sleep struggle can sabotage.
