"My father's rage is why I've struggled with fear all my life."
How it sounds in your head: Every loud voice, every sudden movement, every conflict—I still flinch. Ninety-one years old and I can still hear him shouting, feel the terror. His anger poisoned my whole life with fear, and it's too late to be free of it now.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
-- 2 Timothy 1:7Trauma assigning permanent effects to past wounds, denying God's power to heal instantly and completely in the present moment.

They were terrified, certain they would die in the storm, panic consuming them. Jesus spoke one word—'Peace'—and IMMEDIATELY the wind ceased and there was great calm. Instant peace replaced lifelong fear.
I REFUSE the lie that my father's rage sentenced me to lifelong fear. IT IS WRITTEN that God has NOT given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. I was not given fear—I can RELEASE fear. IT IS WRITTEN that I should fear not, for He is with me. I command this spirit of fear to leave in Jesus' name. I receive the peace of Christ that surpasses understanding. I am not a fearful woman; I am a POWERFUL woman, loved by Perfect Love, carrying the BARAK blessing of protection and peace. I am FREE.
The Father is saying: 'I saw every moment of terror. I was there, shielding your heart from complete destruction. I can lift this fear RIGHT NOW—not because you've worked through it, but because My Son purchased your peace at the Cross. Receive it, daughter.' He's speaking 'Peace, be still' over your storm.
