"My family's generational curses give demons legal right to oppress me"
How it sounds in your head: My family has a history of addiction, mental illness, and occult involvement. Maybe I'm under a generational curse that gives demons authority over me. I need to break those curses or I'll never be free.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us"
-- Galatians 3:13Source: Old Covenant thinking that Christ's blood didn't fully break generational patterns
He sees patterns in his family that mirror his struggles, so the enemy makes him think there's a spiritual curse requiring special breaking. Generational curses offer an explanation for why freedom feels elusive.
Disciples asked if the man's blindness was caused by his sin or his parents' sin (generational curse thinking). Jesus said NEITHER—it wasn't about generational patterns but about God's glory being revealed. The man was instantly healed.
I REFUSE the lie that generational curses give demons authority over me. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Christ has REDEEMED me from the curse' (Galatians 3:13). Every generational curse was BROKEN at the cross. I don't need to break what Jesus already shattered. IT IS WRITTEN: 'I am a NEW creation; old things have passed away' (2 Corinthians 5:17). My family's past has ZERO legal claim on my future. I am under the BARAK blessing of Abraham—blessed coming in and going out. The terror of God protects me. I am the HEAD, not the tail.
Father isn't counting your family's sins against you. He's declaring: 'You are a NEW creation—old bloodlines mean NOTHING compared to My Son's blood.' He sees you as a fresh start, not a cursed lineage.
