"My failing body means I'm no longer useful to God or my family."
How it sounds in your head: You can't do what you used to. You're slowing everyone down. Your best years are behind you. You're becoming the burden you swore you'd never be.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Source: World system that values productivity over presence, measuring worth by physical strength instead of covenant position.
Every physical limitation reinforces it—knees that won't cooperate, stamina that vanishes, activities you can no longer join. The grandkids run ahead and you can't keep up, just like you fear you can't keep up with life itself.
Moses was 80 years old with a speech impediment when God called him to lead a nation. God didn't heal the stutter first—He said 'I will be with your mouth' and used him exactly as he was, limitations and all.
I REFUSE the lie that my physical limitations disqualify me from God's purposes. IT IS WRITTEN that His strength is made PERFECT in my weakness, and I am Abraham's seed, heir according to the PROMISE, not according to my physical capacity. My body may be declining but my SPIRIT is being renewed day by day. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 40:31 that those who wait on the Lord shall RENEW their strength—this is covenant promise, not physical performance. I am covered by the BARAK blessing that never depended on Abraham's strength, Isaac's health, or Jacob's ability. I am useful because I am HIS, not because of what I can do.
The Father isn't measuring your steps with a pedometer or timing your pace. He's running toward you with the robe of righteousness while you're still shuffling up the road, celebrating that you're HOME, not how fast you got there.
