"I'll never experience the abundant life Jesus promised with this limitation."
How it sounds in your head: Abundant life is for healthy people. You're watching from the sidelines now. Adventure, joy, freedom—that was the old you. This version gets managing, coping, enduring.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Source: Religious redefinition of 'abundant life' as physical ability instead of spiritual reality, limiting God's promise to circumstances instead of His presence.
Every 'no' you have to say confirms it—can't travel like you planned, can't play with grandkids like you imagined, can't do the retirement dreams you saved for. Abundant feels like the opposite of limited.
Blind beggar at the roadside, physically limited, yet when Jesus passed he cried out with such faith and persistence that Jesus stopped for him. Even BEFORE healing, his faith accessed Jesus—limitation didn't block abundant connection.
I REFUSE the lie that my limitations block God's abundant life. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give life ABUNDANTLY, and that promise isn't conditional on my physical state. Paul had abundant JOY in prison. Joseph had God's favor in a DUNGEON. Daniel had God's presence in a lions' den. Abundant life is Christ IN me, the hope of glory—not circumstances around me. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 4:16 that though outwardly I'm wasting away, inwardly I'm being RENEWED day by day. I am covered by the BARAK blessing that made Abraham prosperous in FAMINE, protected Jacob when he was LIMPING. My abundance is covenant, not circumstance.
The Father isn't withholding the good life until you're healed—He's pouring out abundance right now, in this moment, in this body. His presence IS the abundant life, and nothing can separate you from it.
