"My disability means I'll never be able to have children or be a mother."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone's posting pregnancy announcements while I wonder if my body could even handle it. Doctors list risks. My meds aren't pregnancy-safe. Maybe motherhood is for women whose bodies cooperate, and I'll just be the cool aunt forever.
"And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him."

Medical consultations focus on complications and risks. Her disability adds layers of complexity to something that seems simple for others. Motherhood feels like it requires a 'normal' body she doesn't have.
Barren for YEARS, womb closed by the LORD Himself, mocked and tormented for her childlessness. One prayer changed everything—God REMEMBERED her and she conceived Samuel, who became prophet, priest, and kingmaker. Her impossibility became Israel's prophet.
I REFUSE the lie that my disability disqualifies me from motherhood. IT IS WRITTEN that God visited Sarah in biological impossibility and gave her Isaac—my medical complexity is not beyond Him. Whether through my womb, adoption, fostering, or spiritual mothering, I am BLESSED to be fruitful. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in the city and field, blessed in the fruit of my body—and God defines 'fruit' broader than biology. The BARAK blessing Abraham received included being father of MANY nations through various paths. I am heir to that promise; motherhood is mine if I desire it.
The Father isn't shaking His head at your medical chart—He's RUNNING toward you with the desires of your heart, ready to do immeasurably more than you ask or imagine. He's already numbered the children connected to your life, biological or otherwise, smiling at the mother you ARE.
