"My disability proves I'm outside God's best plan for my life."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe this happened because you made wrong choices. Maybe if you'd done things differently, prayed sooner, lived better, you wouldn't be here. This feels like Plan B—or Plan Z. God's 'best' doesn't include wheelchairs and chronic pain.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Religious teaching presenting disability as evidence of missing God's perfect will or being under judgment.
Life genuinely changed after diagnosis or injury. There's a clear before and after, and after feels like the broken version. You grieve what could have been.
Sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused, imprisoned for years—every circumstance screamed 'OFF TRACK.' Yet he told his brothers, 'You meant it for evil, but God meant it for GOOD.' What looked like derailment was actually SETUP for saving nations. The 'wrong' path was the RIGHT path all along.
I REFUSE the lie that my disability means I'm outside God's best plan. IT IS WRITTEN His thoughts toward me are for PEACE and GOOD, to give me a future and HOPE—present tense, current body, no exceptions. I am not in Plan B; I am in THE plan, and this is part of it. ALL things work together for good because I'm called according to HIS purpose. The BARAK blessing doesn't get voided by diagnosis—I am STILL Abraham's seed, STILL heir to promises, STILL walking in covenant favor. IT IS WRITTEN I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I declare I am exactly where I'm supposed to be, purposed, loved, and moving toward GOOD.
Father isn't disappointed by your disability like you missed His plan—He's RUNNING toward you holding the blueprint that's ALWAYS included this, saying, 'You're right on track. This isn't Plan B; this is THE plan, and it's GOOD. Trust Me.'
