"Other kids will never really want to be my friend"
How it sounds in your head: You get invited to birthday parties but wonder if their moms made them invite you. You sit with kids at lunch but wonder if they're just being nice. Real friends run and play together, and you can't keep up. Nobody actually WANTS to be friends with the girl who's different.
"A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
-- Proverbs 18:24Enemy using isolation and difference to create false narrative of unwantedness
You've experienced pity instead of friendship, had kids avoid you or only interact out of obligation. The gap between what you can do and what they do feels like proof you don't belong.
Four friends carried their paralyzed friend, tore apart a roof, lowered him to Jesus. They didn't pity him—they FOUGHT for him. They saw him, loved him, and refused to let barriers stop them. Real friendship that changes everything.
I REFUSE the lie that no one wants to be my friend. IT IS WRITTEN that there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother—and God is sending those friends to me. I am not too different to be loved. I am CHOSEN, WANTED, and SEEN. Jesus calls me FRIEND. IT IS WRITTEN in John 15:15 that I am not a servant but a FRIEND of God. The same God who gave Ruth to Naomi and Jonathan to David is giving me friendships that STICK. I am blessed coming and going—the BARAK blessing makes me HIGHLY FAVORED in relationships. True friends are coming who see my heart, not my limitations.
Father surrounds you with love right now. He's not waiting for you to be different before He connects you with others. He's handpicking friends who will see you the way HE sees you—as treasure, as delight, as the friend they've been looking for too.
