"My disability disqualifies me from being used by God for anything significant."
How it sounds in your head: God uses the strong, the capable, the whole. You're limited. Maybe you can attend church, but leading? Impacting? That's for others.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty."
-- 1 Corinthians 1:27Religion: Church culture celebrates platform-ready people while sidelining those who don't fit the image, making God seem as shallow as Hollywood.
You see worship leaders, pastors, missionaries who are physically whole. Leadership requires strength, travel, energy - things your condition limits. You feel like a benchwarmer, not a player.
Speech impediment, said 'I am slow of speech and slow of tongue,' tried to disqualify himself from leading Israel. God said 'Who has made man's mouth? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth' - used him to deliver millions and write the Torah.
I REFUSE the lie that my disability disqualifies me. IT IS WRITTEN: God CHOOSES the weak to shame the mighty - my limitation is my qualification. I am God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for GOOD WORKS which God prepared beforehand that I should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10). His strength is PERFECTED in my weakness. IT IS WRITTEN: I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). The BARAK blessing makes me the head and not the tail - I am a LEADER, not a benchwarmer. God's power flows THROUGH my weakness.
The Father doesn't need your ability - He has ALL ability. He wants your AVAILABILITY. Like the prodigal still covered in pig stench, the Father gives you the RING of authority before you clean up.
