"My chronic pain glorifies God by showing how I endure faithfully despite it."
How it sounds in your head: People watch how I handle this and see Jesus in my perseverance. Maybe my testimony isn't the healing but the endurance - inspiring others by suffering well instead of being healed. That's a different kind of victory.
"Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."
-- Psalm 50:15Source: Religion - confusing human resilience with divine glory and making suffering the testimony instead of deliverance.
People DO tell you you're inspirational and strong, which feels like spiritual validation. It's easier to reframe the suffering as the point than to keep believing for healing that hasn't come yet.
Lying sick with a fever when Jesus entered the house. He touched her hand, the fever LEFT her immediately, and she arose and served them - instant healing led to instant service, showing that health enables ministry better than 'faithful suffering' ever could.
I REFUSE the lie that my suffering glorifies God more than my healing would. IT IS WRITTEN that God is glorified when He DELIVERS me from trouble, not when I endure it forever. Jesus healed every sick person to bring glory to the Father - healing was the testimony, not patient suffering. My body whole and serving glorifies Him more than my body broken and surviving. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I was healed. I walk in the BARAK blessing where my body is blessed coming in and going out, strong and healthy to fulfill my calling, not sidelined by disease dressed up as testimony.
Your Father doesn't want you to glorify Him by enduring what Jesus already destroyed at the cross - He wants you healed and whole, serving from strength not from a sickbed. Like the prodigal glorified the father by being RESTORED, not by staying in the pig pen nobly, you glorify God in health.
