"My children will squander any inheritance I leave just like I've seen happen in other families."
How it sounds in your head: I watch them make financial decisions now and I'm terrified. They don't save, they don't budget, they want everything now. If I leave them anything, it'll be gone in months. Maybe I should just spend it all or give it away so they don't waste what I worked for.
"His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed."
-- Psalm 112:2Enemy using fear of future loss to rob you of present peace and generational blessing, making you prophesy failure over your seed.
You've watched them blow tax returns, rack up credit cards, make impulsive purchases. You've seen friends' kids burn through inheritances in record time. Their current choices predict future disaster.
KNEW his son would waste the inheritance—gave it anyway. Son blew it ALL on prostitutes and wild living, exactly as predicted. Father's response when he returned? FULL restoration, ring, robe, party—the father's generosity wasn't conditional on the son's wisdom; it flowed from the father's NATURE.
I REFUSE the lie that my children are destined to squander blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that the generation of the upright will be BLESSED. My righteousness isn't my performance—it's Christ's gift to me, and that covers my descendants. I speak BLESSING over my children, not curse. IT IS WRITTEN that the BARAK blessing extends to a thousand generations. Even if they make mistakes, they're covered by covenant blood. I trust the Father who loves them more than I do to teach them, guide them, and yes, even restore what they waste. I leave inheritance with FAITH, not fear.
The Father is whispering, 'I love your children more than you do, and My covenant with you covers them. Trust Me with their future. Give generously, bless abundantly, and watch Me do what only I can do—turn prodigals into stewards, waste into wisdom, in My timing, by My grace.'
