"My body is failing and disgusting. No one could love me like this."
How it sounds in your head: I need help with everything—bathing, toileting, feeding. I'm leaking, sagging, shrinking, smelling. This isn't a body anyone could love. I see the disgust in their eyes when they clean me. I'm repulsive.
"You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you."
-- Song of Solomon 4:7World system worships youth and beauty; enemy uses physical decline to attack your worth.
You've lost control of your own body—the very vessel that once defined your femininity, your strength. Every indignity, every changed diaper, every catheter reinforces the lie that love requires a beautiful, functional body.
She bled for 12 years—ceremonially unclean, untouchable, isolated, broke from medical bills, body failing. One touch of Jesus and IMMEDIATELY the bleeding stopped, her body healed, and He called her 'DAUGHTER'—family, beloved, not disgusting.
I REFUSE the lie that my failing body makes me unlovable. IT IS WRITTEN that I am all fair with NO SPOT—this is my identity in Christ, not my physical condition. The Father does NOT recoil from my weakness; Jesus touched LEPERS, healed the bleeding woman, embraced the broken. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that His strength is PERFECTED in my weakness. I am the BARAK blessed—loved not for my body's function but for covenant position.
The Father sees past every tube, every failure, every indignity to the beloved daughter underneath. He's not disgusted; He's tender, closer in your weakness than He ever was in your strength, whispering 'You are beautiful, My love.'
