"My body is changing and feeling weird because something is spiritually wrong with me."
How it sounds in your head: My body is doing strange things I can't control, and it feels scary and wrong. Maybe God is disappointed in how I'm developing. Maybe the changes happening mean I'm becoming bad or dirty or less pure.
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
-- Psalm 139:14Enemy twists normal puberty development into spiritual condemnation, making her fear her own God-designed body.
Adults get awkward and quiet when she asks about body changes, and church teaches purity without celebrating the body God made. The silence and shame around development makes her feel like something's wrong spiritually when her body changes physically.
She went through a full year of beauty preparations as her body matured into womanhood, and God used her developing beauty to save an entire nation. Her physical development wasn't shameful—it was part of God's sovereign plan and He blessed it.
I REFUSE the lie that my changing body means something is spiritually wrong. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made—my Father designed every stage of my development including this one. Puberty isn't punishment or evidence of spiritual failure; it's His perfect design unfolding. IT IS WRITTEN that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit—He dwells in me through every change, and what He inhabits is HOLY. I am Abraham's seed with the BARAK blessing of health and wholeness over every part of my body. My Father isn't ashamed of how He's developing me—He's celebrating His daughter becoming the woman He created her to be.
Your Father isn't frowning at your changing body—He DESIGNED puberty and every hormone shift and physical development as part of His perfect plan. He's not waiting for you to stay a child forever; He's delighting in watching you become the woman He created, and He calls every stage GOOD.
