"My body is aging and breaking down naturally, so expecting divine healing is unrealistic at my age."
How it sounds in your head: I'm forty-seven. Perimenopause, slowing metabolism, joints that ache, skin that sags. The doctor said 'this is normal aging.' Maybe faith isn't denying biology. Maybe accepting my body's decline is just being a grown-up. Miracles are for the young.
"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is RENEWED like the eagle's."
-- Psalm 103:2-5Enemy using 'normal aging' to make covenant promises age out, as if God's power has a senior citizen exemption clause.
Every medical chart shows age-related decline as expected, inevitable, normal. Her own mother went through this, her friends are all dealing with similar issues. The culture worships youth and medicates age. Even church people say 'well, at our age...' as if God's power expires at menopause.
Sarah was NINETY years old, decades past menopause, womb dead, body aged beyond childbearing by any biological measure. God said 'Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, and Sarah shall have a son.' She gave birth at 90. Her body didn't gradually improve—it was SUPERNATURALLY RENEWED to conceive, carry, birth, and nurse. Age meant nothing.
I REFUSE the lie that my aging body is beyond God's renewal power. IT IS WRITTEN that He renews my youth like the EAGLE'S—not preserves my decline but RESTORES what time took. Sarah's 90-year-old womb conceived and birthed Isaac because nothing is too hard for the Lord. Moses at 120 had undimmed eyes and undiminished strength. IT IS WRITTEN that with long life He will satisfy me and show me His salvation (Psalm 91:16)—satisfied, not deteriorated. The BARAK covenant blessing doesn't expire at menopause. I am not 'aging naturally'—I am a supernatural being connected to resurrection power. My cells respond to the Word that spoke worlds into existence. I declare RENEWAL, not decline.
Your Father is not consulting your birth certificate or your hormone levels. While you're accepting 'normal aging' as inevitable, He's asking 'Do you remember Sarah at 90 nursing a baby? Do you remember Moses at 120 with 20/20 vision? Do you remember that the same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in YOU to quicken your mortal body?' Age is not a factor in the resurrection business.
